Dark Period In South Africa

Published on

It has been brought to the people’s attention on the 8th of April 2019 that Eskom will most likely resume with stage 1 of Load Shedding in South Africa.

Over the past few months the country has experienced excessive power cuts the lasted up to 4 hours in the final stage 4.

These power cuts have not only inconvenienced daily activities but continue to slow down business operations in small companies and homes without generators.

Although more than 300 companies have signed a class suit to sue Eskom via De Beer Attorneys it appears that Eskom may have legal rights to enforce load shedding .

Thus the ESkom CEO now pleads with the people of the country to use their electricity sparingly as they predict an increased demand of electricity in the winter season.

What could be the solution? It’s definitely not a legal class suit against eskom, maybe cheaper rates for electricity if load shedding continues.

But the country surely needs a competitive electricity provider company that will step in when eskom fails to step up.
